About Mechanical Engineering Department

The Mechanical Engineering Department was started in 2006 (at inception of the Institute) with an intake of 40 students. Later on the intake was increased to 60 with the start of more courses, and expansion of infrastructure. The Department offers a 4-year B.Tech. programme in Mechanical Engineering, and is actively pursuing to start research programmes like M. Tech./Ph.D.


To become one of the most modern centres of excellence in mechanical engineering for inculcating professional ethics, human values, and to act as a pillar of technical support system which is globally relevant, adaptive and responsive to the needs of the mankind.


To create a true professional atmosphere of learning based on equal opportunity for all and international standards of academic excellence wherein all involved could contribute to the development of the region and the global society by fostering application-oriented teaching as well as research in emerging areas of technology.
