TEXTILE TWASK PROJECTS

1)MODEL ON GEOTEXTILES
This project is made on the idea of Geotextile. Geotextile enhances the engineering properties of soil when applied between layers of soil. Geotextiles are permeable fabric which when used in association with soil, have the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect and drain. These geotextile allows liquids to flow through, whilst retaining the material such as soil particles. The flexibility and permeability, allowing cross-flow of water make jute geotextiles a better material for protecting riverbanks and embankments from the onslaught of floodwater and the seashores from wave surge. Jute geotextiles can prevent intermixing of layers of one layer into other layer comprising either dissimilar materials or similar materials with different grading to prevent /control subsidence of any foundation under load.

 

2)MODELS FOR TAPESTRY WEAVING
Tapestry is a form of textile art, traditionally woven on a vertical loom. Tapestry is weft- faced weaving in which all the warp threads are hidden in the complete work.

 

3)MODELS FOR TYPES OF PRINTING
In printing there are various methods used to impress coloured pattern on cloth like hand printing, roller printing, stencil printing, screen printing, tie die printing etc.

 

4)SMART TEXTILE
(i)ELECRIC STUN GLOVE
Glove that emits an electric shock when the pressure plate on the knuckles is compressed, shocking the eviction while dishing out a blow comparable to that of brass knuckles. Electroshock weapon technology uses a temporary high voltage low current electrical discharge to override the body’s music triggering mechanisms commonly referred to as a stun gun, electroshock weapons are relative of cattle prods which have been around for over 100 years. The recipient feels pain & can be momentarily paralyzed while electric current is being applied. Essential to operation of electroshock, taser glove prod is sufficient current to allow weapon to stun without current. Without current these weapons can't stun & degree to which the weapons is capable of stunning depends upon the proper use of the current. Stunning depends upon its proper use of current.
(ii) CONDUCTING GLOVE
It is difficult to operate the smart phones when you are wearing a glove, because it works due to the electric glow between the phone and the body. So when we use glove the channels get canceled out & then we can't operate the phone. So by these gloves you can use the phone even when you are wearing these gloves, as it doesn't break the channel.

 

5)MINIATURE MODELS OF SPINNING LINE, WEAVING AND CHEMICAL PROCESSING
- In this project, miniature models are used to show that how fabric is made from raw material i.e. fibre . At first spinning is done in which yarn is made . spinning line consist of blowroom ,carding, drawframe, comber, simplex and ring frame. Weaving consist of winding, warping, sizing, looming and so on. chemical processing consist of dyeing, printing and finishing.

 

6)MEDICAL TEXTILES
Medical textiles also known as Healthcare Textiles. Medical Textiles is one of the most rapidly expanding sectors in the technical textile market. It is one of the major growth areas within technical textiles and the use of textile materials for medical and healthcare products ranges from simple gauze or bandage materials to scaffolds for tissue culturing and a large variety of prostheses for permanent body implants. Textile products are omnipresent in the field of human hygiene and medical practice. Their use is based on a number of typical basic textile properties like softness and lightness, flexibility, absorption, filtering etc.
