CIVIL TWASK EVENTS
1) Power in the Tower
With the help of straw sticks, fevicol, elastic rubbers and threads, a tower will be constructed by each group. The height of each tower will be specified to be 50 to 100 cm. 100 straw sticks will be provided to each team. The surface area will be 16 cm sq. for each project. The tower structure will rest on the cardboard on which the base can be pasted with the help of fevicol .Then each of the tower will be tested for maximum load and the structure which will bear maximum load will be declared to be the winner. The first round will be called to be the tallest paper tower competition, with the help of 1 Kg Newspaper and one cello tape to each team.
2) Load Bearing Truss Bridge Competition
The load bearing bridge is made of Popsicle sticks. This competition will recognize the most feasible concept of trusses for carrying maximum load on bridge.
This competition do consist of basic concepts in which every individual is compatible to show their talent.
3) General Aptitude
This event recognize the potential of individual thinking ability to perform certain
tasks.
It also inculcate many factors like Numerical Reasoning, VerbalReasoning, speed
accuracy, and other such abilities & help students to face certain competitive exams.
4) Soil Hunt
In this event we will give some information about some characteristics of soil and location of soil and we will give clue of 6 locations in college campus and the team who will solve all the clues and collect the soil from given location wiil be the winer team.
5) Civil War
A quiz is a form of game or mind sport , in which the players (as individuals or teams ) attempt to answer question correctly . Civil war is a game to test the knowledge about basic civil engineering.
6) Hydraulic Jack
Get a feel of hydraulic jack. Using plastic syringes without needles and a few ice cream sticks you can make a jack to lift a load. The syringes transit forces through the water medium. This device demonstrate the concept of the advantage to lift the heavy loads with less effort.
7) Auto-cadd Competition
Auto-cadd is a computer aided design program used for 2D and 3D design and drafting. In this competition drawing is given to competitors and the winners are announced on the basis of speed and accuracy.
8) Rapid Survey
A time based task in which students will conduct a survey of given/prescribed area,
The fastest survey team will be the winner.
